AK Steel Contributes To Middletown Veterans Memorial


Middletown, OH, November 10, 2005—AK Steel (NYSE: AKS) said today it is making the first of three annual contributions totaling $30,000 to the Veterans Memorial located in Middletown’s Woodside Cemetery.  AK Steel’s contributions are designated for the long-term maintenance of the memorial which honors all veterans that were killed during conflicts from the Civil War to the present time, as well as all veterans who have served our country.

AK Steel is making three contributions of $10,000 each to the Veterans Memorial project in the years 2005, 2006 and 2007.
